Just the 2 of Us

Hello everyone! I hope the last week of 2011 is going great for all of you and that January 1st rings in a fantastic year for you all! I am having a few people over for New Year’s Eve, karaoke and games…it should be fun! I had a bit of free time for me today so I made this little card using this weeks palette at The Color Room, a BoBunny sketch and their Enchanted collection.

I distressed the outside layers and used pop ups on all the layers for dimension. I fussy cut the hearts from the Enchanted papers and the cute little title piece is also from the same collection.

I just love the cameos with this collection and have added one to the center of some of my hand dyed vintage seam binding.

Ok well that is it for now. I would like to wish all of you a very Happy New Year!! I hope that 2012 brings nothing but joy to you all!  Have a fantastic week!  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Traditions

BOXING DAY! Wow Christmas came and went FAST, and now I get a bit to relax today before the next round of company arrives. I made this layout using the sketch from Once Upon a Sketch, lots of Pion papers, Petaloo and Prima flowers and the gorgeous frame is a Dusty Attic chippy. The journaling for OUAS this time is family traditions. I love when I can get together over the holidays with family, it just makes the holidays that much more special. The photo is my grand daughter looking at the Christmas Tree. Such a little cutie pie J

The framing around the photo is all raised with pop ups to give it more dimension. Here you can see some of the stamping that I did and the gorgeous flowers. I did lots of distressing and inking with Distress inks.

The Pion collection comes with lots of little tags and I have cut out a few, inked the edges and added them to my layout.

Here is a close up of the DA frame. I first painted it white and then I added a few different mists to it and some liquid pearls to finish it off. It has a very old distressed look to it.

Ok well that is it for today. I have very exciting news to share in the New Year. I hope that everyone has a great rest of 2011 and Happy New Year!!!  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

All you need is Love *SOUS*

TGIF!!!!! I love Fridays, and now I have a whole weeks vacation so yippee! Before I get to my layout I would like to thank everyone that has been so supportive in the past year and would like to wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season!  Ok so on with my layout….it is reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches and this weeks sketch was designed by our lovely Designer/co-creator Sandi Clarkson. I used Glitz papers, Prima brick and gate masks, Dusty Attic chippys and I made all the flowers. The photo is my niece this past summer when she got married.

I made all of the flowers on t his layout using my cricut and some mists. Here you can also see that pretty gate mask and the corner chippy. I have used some glimmer glam, glaze and mists on the chippy.

All of the brick masking is done with some gesso. I added another corner chippy here and some vintage crinkle seam binding to the flower cluster.

Ok well that is it for today. Don’t forget to head on over to SOUS for tonnes of inspiration, come and play with us and you have a chance at a gorgeous prize. Thanks again for stopping by and once again have a very Merry Christmas everyone! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Believe

Happy Hump day everyone! Wow only FOUR more sleeps..hehe…I am getting so excited because my daughter and family will be here on the 24th J I am getting ready for all of my company so it should go by fairly fast! I have a little card to show you today. I have used the card sketch and all papers from BoBunny for this one. I distressed all of the layers and added some double dot card stock behind the pieces.

I love the Enchanted collection from BoBunny and all the cute embellishments that go with it. The center piece is one of the brads from that collection. I have added some vintage crinkle seam binding and some Petaloo blooms to finish it off.

Ok well that is it for now. I will be back on Friday with the reveal from Stuck on U Sketches. I would like to wish all of you and your families a very happy Holiday Season and please be safe in all of your travels. Snow Babe **TCR**

Happy Sunday everyone! I made this layout a couple of days ago and was surprised how fast it came together. I used this weeks palette 89 at The Color Room and I started with white card stock. I added some stamping first and then got really dirty using some mists and gesso and molding pastes for the bricks and back ground. I then added some corrugated board and lots of Dusty Attic chippys and other goodies. The photo is my niece and her baby…cuties! I do not attempt creating my own background often but I love the way this turned out!

This is a good close up of the brick and misted background. The fence is from Dusty Attic. I first painted it white then added some mists and molding paste on top to look like snow on it.

Here is one of the stamped sections with lots of mists and gesso on it. The leaves and snowflakes are also from Dusty Attic.

Close up of the main flower cluster. I have added gesso to all of the flowers.

Ok well that is it for today. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic weekend….Happy Holidays!.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

The pout

TGIF! And yes another vacation day for me! I am baking for the holidays today but I got to finish up this layout and wanted to share. I won a challenge at BoBunny a while ago and they sent me some of the new Enchanted collection. So this layout is made with that collection and I have used their circle challenge on it. The papers are all black and white but I altered them lots with inks and mists. The photo is my grand daughter having a little pout hehe. I also punched some double dot cardstock to add in some color.

I did lots of distressing and layers on this layout. Here you can see some of the heavily inked areas.

I used a BoBunny time piece stamp for the clocks in the background, added in a silver piece from the collection ( I cut it in 2 and used one piece in the cluster and one on the photo). The tiny flowers and the large flower are also made from the Enchanted papers and the dark inked pieces are also from the collection. They almost look like leather now.

I added in some Dusty Attic leaves to finish it off. Thanks for the goodies Bo Bunny.

Ok well that is it for now. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic weekend….Happy Holidays!.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Serenity

Happy Hump Day!!! I am counting down the days till Christmas…lots of visiting with family, a few days off…what more can a girl ask for…except to hopefully get in some scrappy time for me! I have had a great week so far! I won the sketch contest at Dusty Attic and I also won a card challenge at BoBunny! Woo Hoo…I am so excited!

OK so on with my layout…I have done this one using lots of Prima goodies and the Prima monthly BAP Sketch. I did lots of punching, distressing, layers and this is a Hybrid layout. The velum quotes are printed from a digital file and then I have added them to the layout.

I love the little banner on this one.  I have used lots of pop up adhesives to make this layout have lots of dimension. It is going into a shadow box frame as a Christmas gift so the more dimension the better. Here is a close up of the banner and velum printout.

I used lots of Prima flowers to add color to this layout and I tucked some Dusty Attic leaves and chicken wire in with them. I also tucked in some guaze and flocked rub ons for more added texture.

Here you can see all the yummy layers.

Ok well that is it for now. I still have to post my canvas one day this week, so I will be back soon. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Merry Xmas **TCR 88 - Scrap That! **

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE SCRAP THAT! BLOG HOP GO HERE!

Happy Sunday everyone! WOW only 2 more weeks until Christmas…and it is gonna fly by, it does every year! Funny story behind this photo of my daughter and grandson on Santa’s knee. It was supposed to be just my grandson but he did not like Santa at all…so mommy had to sit on Santa’s knee too hehe…and just look at him, he looks so sad in this photo. BUT check out the Santa…holy we think he was the real deal…he sure looks like the real Santa to me J I hope Kenzie told Santa I have been good too …hehe J Ok so on with my layout! I have used this weeks palette from The Color Room and the Pion Design papers are from Scrap That! I did lots of masking, distressing, machine stitching, and inking on this one.

I just love the Dusty Attic chippys that I used and made them look like snow covered trees with molding paste and then I added some stickles to them.

Here you can see the machine stitching, and gorgeous Prima blooms mixed in with more DA swirls. I have used more molding paste on the chippys to make them have more dimension.  Just look at that sad face awwwww!

I did some masking and lots of inking on this layout. Here is a close up of the distressing and stitching as well.

Ok well that is it for now. I will be back a couple of more times this week to show you more projects that I have done lately..including my first time at altering a canvas! Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you have a fantastic week.  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Scrap That! December Pion Design "Waiting for Santa" Kit

Hi everyone and TGIF! Welcome to the Scrap That! December reveal blog hop!!

If you have just arrived here from Robin’s blog you are in the correct place!  If not, head back to the Scrap That! blog for the blog hop order and links.

Today I’m going to share with you my projects using the Scrap That! Pion Design "Waiting for Santa" Kit.  This kit is so YUMMY and the embellishments go perfectly with the gorgeous PION papers.

Joy to the World
This is a photo from last year of my grandson…he is just so cute. I used the sketch, designed by our very own talented Robin, for this one. I did lots of distressing and inking to make it old looking.

In this close up you can see the molding paste that I used…it is very cool in real life as it adds more texture.

Couple more close ups.

Santa Baby
I have used the main kit only for this layout. Again lots of distressing and inking on the layers.

I made the large flower and added some of the gold mist that comes in the main kit to it.

The Dusty Attic chippys are also covered in with the gold mist.

Christmas Past
For my last layout I have used a very very old family photo. I did some masking on this layout and the snowflakes are from my tutorial.

I used lots of crackle accents on the Dusty Attic piece and added is lots of layers.
